About the job
The Street View Ingest team is responsible for the Street View ingestion pipelines. We provide the systems that bring collected sensor data into Google, normalize that data into a standard format, and persist that data in the appropriate storage layer.
The mission of the Street View Ingest team is to efficiently process, normalize, and persist any sensor data as Street View data.
Street View has one of the top brand perceptions across all of Google’s products. The work of the Street View Ingest team is key to ensuring that perception is maintained. The Street View Ingest team is responsible for processing all new Street View data and making it available internally. The team processes over 10,000,000 km of Street View data each year and that number is expected to increase over the next few years.
