About the job
Google’s software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. Our products need to handle information at massive scale, and extend well beyond web search. We’re looking for engineers who bring fresh ideas from all areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design and mobile; the list goes on and is growing every day. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.
We help users get things done faster by intelligently capturing, organizing, and automating their everyday tasks, so that they can focus on what matters most. Our goal is to make everyday tasks easy, fun, and seamless, so that users can focus on what they really care about.
The Productivity team supports a well-used feature set that runs on every device and surface that the Google Assistant runs on. We are routinely the first set of features on any new device. We work closely with our partner teams that write the next-generation device software. This role will lead a team that uses Search and Google Assistant infrastructure, including natural language understanding, dialog management, and intent fulfillment.
