About the job
The Google Cloud Platform team helps customers transform and evolve their business through the use of Google’s global network, web-scale data centers and software infrastructure. The Cloud Marketing team is looking for people who can help us write and tell the story of our customer’s journey. Understanding the power of our products and how they impact businesses, you will help share how we provide our customers with the best solutions for innovation. If you’re as excited about building what’s next as we are, Google Cloud is the place for you.
In this role, you will lead and execute the marketing strategy for Google-owned startup and Venture Capital (VC) customer activations and events, third-party sponsorships, and industry partnerships.
You will think strategically about Business-to-Business (B2B) marketing, events, project management, and how our customers think about Google Cloud solutions in relation to their business. You’ll establish Google Cloud within startup and VC ecosystems, companies, and developers, driving applications to the Google for Startups Cloud Program, and product adoption of our Google Cloud solutions.
Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Our job is to demonstrate how Google’s products solve the world’s problems-from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a way that only Google can-changing the game, redefining the medium, making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself.
Responsibilities
- Develop strategic marketing campaigns and programming for Google-owned startup and Venture Capital customer activations and events, and third-party sponsorships in the EMEA region.
- Understand the user experience and develop ways to bring the Google Cloud and Google For Startups Cloud Program brands to life.
- Execute effective events and experiences that communicate Google Cloud’s brand and thought leadership to customers, users, and key opinion formers, driving awareness, engagement, and product adoption.
- Interact with key stakeholders to advocate for the work we do, and present work to C-level executives for feedback and approvals.
- Work with analysts to develop actionable processes to measure campaign effectiveness, and report on campaign performance and attribution (e.g., engagement, satisfaction, brand lift, pipeline, return on investment (ROI)).
