About the job
The Global Client and Agency Solutions (GCAS) Go-to-Market team is a critical support team to the sales division that partners with our largest advertisers and agencies. As a Strategy and Operations Manager, Go-to-Market, you will be responsible for ensuring that the organization has the right strategies and execution plans in place in order to meet our business objectives.
In this role you will support one of our global client sectors. You will derive insights from complex data to support the development, activation, and measurement of global client strategies. Additionally, as a close business partner to the client team business leader, you will guide the innovation, design, and roll-out of new sales processes/programs while helping to maintain core operations, cadence, and overall business excellence.
You will have the chance to serve as an advisor and thought partner to GCAS’s leadership and to be responsible for the smooth operations of a large and global team of Googlers working for some of the world’s largest advertisers.
The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google’s complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.
Responsibilities
Partner with one or more Global Client teams to develop and evolve the core business plan and go-to-market strategies.
Drive operational logistics for the business, including optimizing resource allocation, measuring progress against business goals, facilitating weekly sales management meetings, and creating business updates/reviews.
Use data to derive insights that will guide business decisions, including identifying opportunities to improve sales team efficiencies, and direct efforts to scale best practices across sales teams.
Coordinate with local operations teams as needed to advance Google-wide initiatives, and support the roll-out and development of related tools and platforms that will improve internal productivity.
Partner with Sales Finance, People Operations, and Product GtM in cross-functional projects, including (but not limited to) hiring and organizational design and OKRs.
