5 years of experience in direct hardware testing work.
Experience with statistical data analysis and reporting

Understanding of the failure physics behind the mechanical, electrical, and optical properties of consumer products.
About the job
As a Reliability Engineer, you will play a key role in creating new consumer electronic products that meet a high bar for reliability and performance. You will work closely with the product management and design engineering teams to define standards, specify tests, and then supervise test execution and failure analysis. A broad engineering background and command of statistical methods will help to inform design of new products. Your excellent communication skills will be key to ensuring adoption of your technical recommendations.

Responsibilities
Facilitate and document Failure Mode and Effective Analysis (FMEA).
Define and develop test spec and test plans that effectively identify high-risk failure modes early enough in the design life cycle to effect design changes.
Work with contract manufacturer (CM) on alignment of reliability specifications, audit of reliability test setup/procedures, execution of reliability tests as planned and report of test results in a timely manner.
Interact with cross functional teams to align on product reliability expectations, communicate reliability test results, and implement mitigations of reliability risks.
Conduct statistical data analysis for risk assessments for observed failures, and make recommendations to management.
