Preferred qualifications:
Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
Experience working on mobile device battery power measurement by published benchmark and Android use application in teams of battery power daily usage, application peak power in mobile subsystem, and component-level power analysis (e.g., SoC, Modem, Camera, Display, etc.).
Knowledge of Android system power consumption distribution breakdown analysis.
Knowledge of embedded mobile power and SOC performance monitor mechanism and software development.

The Google Consumer Hardware Engineering team, works cross-functionally with other teams to deliver high-quality consumer hardware devices. In this role, you will be responsible for hardware system validation and quality optimization for the next generation of Google’s consumer devices.
You will provide validation requirements for internal and external stakeholders, identify system risks and critical design parameters, and develop and execute automation tools on a large-scale.
You will perform regression test failure analysis by collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment and perform system-level validation in performance versus thermal and Battery Power Management regression.

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain validation tools for system power of mobile device in Pixel user application scenarios.
Work with cross-functional teams to obtain, derive, and develop validation recipes and data processing knowledge.
Develop test automation scripts, validation and bringup on development platform, software debug, version control and releases, bug tracking, and fixes, etc.
Support product initiative validation on lab bench (e.g., mobile battery power test plan, manual mobile App test, automation software development, power test error triages, data collection and post-processing, etc.) to evaluate mobile battery power and performance solutions.
