Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in program management and in a leadership role.
Experience with optical system development and metrology.
Experience working with the engineering principles of projector technologies (e.g., ultra light-emitting diode (uLED) and liquid crystal on silicon), waveguides, illumination sources (e.g., LEDs and lasers), and optomechanical integration.
Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Experience with display system and sensor development for AR/VR products.
Experience with supplier/vendor management, including SOW definition and program execution.
Knowledge of optical metrology tools, methods for display systems, and the systems, sub-systems, and components required to make a mobile, VR, or AR device.
Experience with the full product lifecycle of a consumer electronics product, including product inception, ideation, subsystem definition, design for Manufacturing, engineering build management, and mass production (MP) preparation.

The Augmented Reality (AR) team at Google enables AR experiences on devices.
As a leadership Technical Program Manager, you’ll lead execution efforts for projects or programs that span multiple organizations and business areas. You will lead the development of products and features to create business sources and increase business growth. You’ll also lead technical discussions on product design.
In this role, you’ll lead cross-functional, organizational projects and discuss scope and timelines with technical dependencies that drive changes and support the launch of a product. You’ll also leverage and apply an understanding of sub-domain in engineering to lead efforts on domain, product, or service improvement.
Manage optical system development for display systems in AR/VR products.
Set strategy, develop milestones, prioritize activities, and manage development activities for projector and display systems.
Provide leadership to a team of Technical Program Managers that support aspects of the display system, such as projectors, waveguides, illumination sources, and system architecture activities. Lead strategic programs and guide leadership on making decisions to advancing product/program excellence.
Collaborate with Product Management, Industrial Design, User Experience, Systems Engineering, and Optical Engineering teams to define, prioritize, and communicate team activities. Monitor metric deviations and propose corrective actions for critical deviations.
Manage supplier/vendor interaction for the definition of statement of work (SOW) to develop the engineering products/capabilities necessary for the program. Interact with stakeholders to set key performance indicators accrued to program success.
