QualificationsBachelor’s degree
Preferred qualifications:
8 years of experience validating high-volume consumer electronics devices to environmental and sustainability requirements
Experience developing specifications, standard operating procedures, and/or test protocols
Experience with biocompatibility testing and validation for wearable products
Experience validating electronic products to sustainability standards (i.e. UL110 and IEEE 1680.1)
About the job
The Environmental Compliance and Sustainability team supports all products and accessories with the Consumer Hardware organization inclusive of phones, notebooks, tablets, and more. As a Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that Google Consumer Hardware products meet all applicable environmental and product sustainability standards, requirements and best practices. You will work closely with Product Design Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Wireless Engineers, Manufacturing Partners, Legal Counsels, Supply Chain, and Operations to ensure that related sustainability requirements are implemented throughout the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Ensure Google’s consumer hardware devices including accessories meet materials, energy efficiency, environmental sustainability, and biocompatibility requirements.
Partner with cross-functional team members to set and deliver product sustainability goals.
Drive program deliverables at key milestones.
Track and communicate program status to diverse stakeholders (from engineers to executives).
Identify opportunities to improve processes and own the implementation, driving decisions, and organizing work into subprojects.
