About the job
We develop next-generation technologies that change how users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. As a member of our creative and driven team, you will develop products that are by people globally. Our engineers are versatile and passionate to take on complex problems as we push technology forward.
The Devices and Services team ensures our users have the most helpful experience whenever and wherever they need it. We design and build devices by integrating many useful services in a compelling way effortlessly and seamlessly. We empower our team to deliver products by pushing the technology envelope with sustainability and reliability in mind.
As a Technical Program Manager, you will apply technical program management expertise to support the development of complex, high performance, and feature-focused SoC projects and enable New Product Introduction (NPI). You will be part of the Product and Test Engineering organization to plan programs early on in the concept phase to incorporate design for debug and design for test (DFT), and manage the execution from pre-silicon DFT, ATE, characterization, yield improvement, high volume manufacturing solution, system level tests, and sustainment.
You will work with cross-functional teams throughout the SoC product development process, and collaborate with Hardware Platforms, Software, and Operations teams along with our semiconductor manufacturing partners to drive high-impact product launches.
Google’s mission is to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful. We research, design, and develop new technologies and hardware to make our user’s interaction with computing faster, seamless, and more powerful. Whether finding new ways to capture and sense the world around us, advancing form factors, or improving interaction methods, the Devices & Services team is making people’s lives better through technology.
Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and deliver complex custom silicon for hardware products.
Lead, create, and manage efficient and effective milestones and data-driven project schedules for the product and test engineering organization by generating task lists, metrics, dashboards, and checklists. Track progress throughout the product lifecycle, assess change, and identify risks and mitigation proactively.
Own, drive, coordinate and maintain SoC eFuses/one-time programmable (OTP) configurations and map releases across cross-functional groups.
Drive technical, schedule, and budgetary tradeoff discussions with cross-functional teams such as architecture, design development, silicon validation, hardware, software, operations and manufacturing partners. Manage vendors and influence change to ensure their deliverables meet engineering requirements.
Provide effective communications to peers, stakeholders, and executives to inform program health and change.
