About the job
At Google we’re committed to improving the lives of as many people as possible. One of the most important areas in which we’re striving to do that is health. Today we’re studying the use of artificial intelligence to assist in diagnosing cancer, predicting patient outcomes, preventing blindness, and much more. We’re exploring ways to improve patient care, including tools that are already being used by clinicians. And we’re partnering with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to help improve the care patients receive.
Google Health touches products and facilities from across the globe. You will partner with functions to identify, implement and maintain technology to support the process owners. You will develop and maintain the system and tools roadmap and life cycle management with feedback from the key stakeholders. The roadmap will take into consideration compliance drivers, product lifecycle management and organizational maturity.
In addition, we create scalable, repeatable, and innovative solutions (technical and services) that meet product needs that are seamless to the users through automation and integration. At Google Health, you will drive project-team alignment and enable the success of these systems that are essential to operations and overall compliance. You will serve a lead role in enabling the business to achieve their objectives through the effective use of technology.
Google Health has made major advances in healthcare research, such as detecting eye disease more quickly and accurately than experts, planning cancer radiotherapy treatment in seconds rather than hours, and working to detect patient deterioration before it happens with electronic records.
Fundamental research is at the core of Google Health – the multidisciplinary team collaborates with partners to publish novel research in renowned scientific journals. They then work to apply this research into the medical field, whether through Streams, our clinical assistant app, or other clinical hardware and products developed in Google. Working alongside colleagues across Google, you’ll help make this vision a reality.
Work with users and stakeholders to obtain an understanding of the holistic system needs and core business requirements as it relates to IT and business strategies. Consult on technology options and provide detailed briefings/analyses of solutions/concepts upon request.
Support successful execution of new technology solutions and capabilities in accordance with the defined roadmap and ensure established objectives and expectations of business partners are met. Interface with stakeholders to ensure buy-in of systems (function and design) throughout the life cycle of the system.
Drive definition of technology objectives and recommend industry-leading solutions to support business needs.
Drive subject matter leadership in quality, regulatory, clinical, or application lifecycle management to align with the core functions.
Analyze emerging technologies and work with business stakeholders to translate implications of new trends into effective technology requirements and vision.
