About the job
At Google we’re committed to improving the lives of as many people as possible. One of the most important areas in which we’re striving to do that is health.
Today we’re studying the use of artificial intelligence to assist in diagnosing cancer, predicting patient outcomes, preventing blindness, and much more. We’re exploring ways to improve patient care, including tools that are already being used by clinicians. And we’re partnering with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to help improve the care patients receive.
Google Health touches products and facilities from across the globe. As the Head of Technology Strategy, you will guide users and stakeholders to establish and realize a digital technology road map initially focused on electronic Quality Management System (eQMS). The road map will take into consideration compliance drivers, product life cycle management and organizational maturity.
In addition, we create scalable, repeatable, and innovative solutions (technical and services) that meet product needs that are seamless to the users through automation and integration. At Google Health, you will create the governance, project-team alignment and enable the success of these systems that are essential to operations and overall compliance.
Finally, aided by the greater organization, you will create scalable and repeatable processes, solutions, and tools that appear seamless to our users through automation and integration.
Google Health has made major advances in healthcare research, such as detecting eye disease more quickly and accurately than experts, planning cancer radiotherapy treatment in seconds rather than hours, and working to detect patient deterioration before it happens with electronic records.
Fundamental research is at the core of Google Health – the multidisciplinary team collaborates with partners to publish novel research in renowned scientific journals. They then work to apply this research into the medical field, whether through Streams, our clinical assistant app, or other clinical hardware and products developed in Google. Working alongside colleagues across Google, you’ll help make this vision a reality.
Responsibilities
Own and lead the Global Health Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Safety and Trust (QRST) technology strategy, through governance of a portfolio of strategic workstreams in close partnership with senior leadership and cross-functional teams across Google.
Map a joint organizational vision for long-term thinking, imagination, and idea generation.
Drive definition of technology objectives and recommend industry-leading solutions to support business needs.
Interface with stakeholders to ensure buy-in of systems (function and design) before and during onboarding/development, consult on technology options, and provide detailed briefings/analyses of solutions/concepts upon request.
Be a subject matter leader in content management, product traceability, or application life-cycle management.
