The Travel mission is to be a trusted place where travelers go for useful information to make fast, effortless decisions. Our gTech team helps scale the Google’s Travel ecosystem through services and solutions that empower partners and travelers. The Travel Analytics Center project provides a suite of tools and solutions that aim to allow access to Travel insights and improve partner performance across Google touch points.
As a Web Solutions Engineer, you will architect and develop production web applications through testable and maintainable code by working cross-functionally to deliver a variety of projects. You will work with a range of teams across product/engineering to meet user needs and bring efficiency to the Travel business. As a member of a team focused on the strategy and design of analytics products, you will ensure that our projects are part of a seamless experience for google employees and partners. You will drive the industry tool strategy that enables Google to build scalable solutions by leveraging data across multiple sources and converting them into actionable insights.
Responsibilities
Build full-stack web software for users within Google and Travel partners in Java and TypeScript, including back-end services, data models, and front-end components.
Collaborate with Product Engineers to enhance core platforms and create applications using standard and Google-specific software development tools.
Write and review technical documents, including design, development, revision documents, and review code in compiled or scripted languages.
Analyze, review, and modify programs to increase operating efficiency or meet requirements as well as execute testing, debugging, maintenance, and/or program updates.
Create test plans and unit test cases.
