Plan, promote and coordinate programs to provide members with a variety fitness and social activities
Greet members and conduct outreach calling
An Activity Coordinator develops and provides activities of games, arts, crafts music, and other recreational activities for the Neighborhood Center in order to ensure community members have a quality experience when at the Center. Position requires a high commitment to service excellence. Enables the communication in and throughout the staff and Center members.
The Activity Coordinator is a part-time position; schedule is 9:00-1:00pm Monday-Friday; flexibility at times with this schedule and opportunity to work up to 40 hours a week.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 1 years in a previous administrative role or related experience in a professional environment
A valid driver license and dependable transportation necessary
Experience customer service role; involving structured and planned activities ideal
Cheerful, pleasant, knowledgeable and professional demeanor
Ability to work independently under general instructions and with a team
Strong attention to detail; ability to manage many details related to data entry, scheduling, follow-up requests and file maintenance
Computer skills -including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Excellent time management, and organizational skills
Ability to communicate effectively/professionally with individuals at all levels of the organization
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in a Health-related field
Previous work with vulnerable adults or the geriatric population
Experience in Community health outreach programs
Nutrition knowledge
Experience performing wellness and recreational activities
Additional Information
This position is on-site at the West Lake Ave. Humana Neighborhood Center in Peoria, IL. This is a part-time position; schedule is 9:00-1:00pm Monday-Friday; flexibility at times to work up to 40 hours a week.
Covid-19 Vaccine/Testing Requirement
Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field. Every associate and contractor who work inside a Humana facility or in the field, regardless of vaccination status, must complete a daily health screening questionnaire.
