Responsibilities
Humana Pharmacy is seeking an experienced professional to lead an interactive team with broad exposure and scope within Humana Pharmacy. This position will work and collaborate with leaders across the Humana enterprise, across operational leaders, and with vendor partners.
This position will lead a team that will have: 6 direct reports, 25 indirect reports, and 2000 contractors.
Responsibilities
Owns the strategy and selection for BPO and vendor operations for all CenterWell Service and Education call operation
Owns vendor contracts, coordinates to ensure consistency across Pharmacy Services and with other Humana peers
Relationship owner for all vendor operations- currently 4 vendor partners
Works directly with onshore internal peers to optimize the strategy through the right staffing mix (BPO vs Internal associates)
Evaluates/manages vendor performance, needs assessment, spend optimization and risk management
Manages reporting and analysis of data used to measure performance
Directs the lifecycle activities for existing contracts
Identifies new solutions and works closely with internal business partners and IT to forecast future needs and to develop cost effective strategies aligned with business and enterprise objectives
Creates and implements partner management policies in support of and aligned with CenterWell goals
Coordinates the negotiation and execution of contracts with the Legal and Contracts departments
Research invoice and contractual issues and resolves discrepancies
Responsible to ensure Vendors/Partners are compliant with contract, company, and regulatory requirements
Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function
Required Qualifications
Bachelors Degree
5 or more years of management experience
Progressive operational experience
Leadership experience over a large metric-intensive operational unit
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong facilitation skills
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail
Strategic thinker with the ability to synthesize available information and make the best decision
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree
Previous vendor management experience
Previous experience in cost management
