Responsibilities
This Senior Financial Analytics Professional role will research claims cost and utilization trends for the HumanaOne and Large Group ASO membership blocks. This will involve the following responsibilities:
Own and leverage existing trend drilldown tools to specifically pull standard reports for these membership blocks with the goal of focusing on emerging claims trend drivers
Present findings regularly to key customers and create presentations to clearly share the data
This role will also involve pulling custom reports or creating ad hoc tools from our claims databases. This will require the ability to pull and manipulate data in SAS and be proficient in excel to summarize the data effectively.
Associate will also be a part of a larger team of actuaries and analytics professionals that are in charge of medical and Rx claims analytics for the larger Commercial Group membership segment.
The expectation is for this associate to be full time and work a regular work schedule. The role is mostly independent projects but there will be regular collaboration as associates work with similar data/systems.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
5 years of experience in large data sets and summarizing into consumable information for customers
Proficient with SaS and/or SQL
Must be able to explain variances and trends
Advanced Experience with Excel and the MS Office suite of tools
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree
Rx and Medical claims data
Experience with modeling, variances and trends
Experience with SaS, and/or PowerBI
Additional Information
The location for this position can be either in the Humana Tower, Louisville, KY or fully remote from any location. (must meet the ‘WAH’ technology requirements, as listed below)

Work-At-Home Requirements:
WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25×10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
