This is a flexible, PRN, queue-work position that can be Work-At-Home and according to personal availability. Once a case is accepted, the RN has a limited amount of time to complete it. If you enjoy doing intake, evaluation and care coordination, with schedule flexibility, this could be a good fit for you.
The Telephonic RN provides a one time intake evaluation for Personal Care at Home for members. Once a case is accepted, the RN receives an email to set-up the evaluation.
This position requires clinical knowledge, communication skills, and independent critical thinking skills towards interpreting criteria, policies, and procedures to provide the best and most appropriate treatment, care or services for members.
Coordinates and communicates with intake, scheduling, and members, or other parties to facilitate optimal care and treatment in the home.
Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives
The Telephonic RN work assignments frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
Unrestricted Registered Nurse License in the state of practice (CA, NV or IL)
Must reside in the state of CA, NV or IL
2+ years of experience working with the senior population
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build rapport
Ability to work with minimal supervision within the role and scope
Ability to use a variety of electronic information applications/software programs including electronic medical records
Intermediate to Advanced computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office products: Word, Outlook, and Excel
Excellent keyboard and web navigation skills
Must have a separate room with a locked door that can be used as a home office to ensure continuous privacy while you work
Must have accessibility to high speed DSL or Cable modem for a home office (Satellite internet service is NOT allowed for this role); and recommended speed for optimal performance from Humana At Home systems is 5Mx1M
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.
