Humana Looking For Weekend Full Time Behavioral Health Utilization Management RN (Remote) at Remote Full Time

The Utilization Management Behavioral Health Nurse utilizes clinical nursing skills to support the coordination, documentation and communication of behavioral health services and/or benefit administration determinations. The Utilization Management Behavioral Health Nurse work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

Responsibilities**

The Utilization Management Behavioral Health Nurse uses clinical knowledge, communication skills, and independent critical thinking skills towards interpreting criteria, policies, and procedures to provide the best and most appropriate treatment, care or services for members. Coordinates and communicates with providers, members, or other parties to facilitate optimal care and treatment. Compact Nursing license is required. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.

Review BH IP/OP requests from providers based on medical necessity utilizing criteria such as MCG (Milliman care guidelines), ASAM, LCD, and NCD.

Required Qualifications

• Unrestricted RN Licensure
• Compact RN Licensure
• 3 years of Inpatient Behavioral Health (Psych) experience or
• 3 years of Behavioral Health Utilization Management experience
• Experience with MCG and ASAM criteria

Preferred Qualifications

This position is a weekend position.

Shift is 4 – 10 hour days. 8am CST – 6:30pm CST

Thurs/ Friday/Saturday/Sunday

Friday/Sat/Sun/Monday

Sat/Sun/Mon/Tues

NOTE: Shift Differential is available for Sat/Sun

Interview Format

• Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
