Your Role and Responsibilities
The consumer-packaged goods industry has a high rate of change, with frequent product, pricing, and promotion adjustments and a fast production-to-market cycle. This position will require continued interaction with Sales, Sales Finance, Grocery Retailers and Cash Application personnel to resolve customer accounts.
- Manage a team between 8-10 collectors
- Demonstrate the ability to roll up your sleeves to prioritize multiple projects while meeting goals and deadlines with a strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.
- Communication skills and confidence in dealing with people at all organizational levels within the Company.
- B2B credit and successful collections experience with demonstrated reduction in >30 days balance
- Prior credit and collections leader with demonstrated ability for driving process efficiencies and problem solving
- Experience using Oracle and SAP/SAP4hana
- Experience in forecasting accounts for B/W improvement YOY
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Creative thinking leveraging technology to drive process improvements
- Ability to foster and grow customer satisfaction and quality improvements across delivery
- Establish and maintain a competent tracking mechanism for key indicators of the operations to support decision-making
- Ensured adequate mentorship of team members to ensure process objectives & Customer requirements are met
- Assisted management with career development activities for team members, team leaders and managers, including performance management
Responsibilities to drive staff:
1) Achieve cash collection goals and KPIs related to DCSO, cash flow, AR aging metrics and minimal bad debt
2) Ensure compliance with credit and collections policy, internal controls, and audit requirements
3) Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly AR reports
4) Direct the evaluation of credit risk and payment terms
5) Develop and implement process improvements and system enhancements that improve customer service, efficiency and reduce costs
6) Actively participate in the collection process to reduce A/R balances
7) Monitor and document collection activity of major accounts and establish and monitor aged receivables
8) Manage invoice presentment, EDI and notarization
9) Resolve internal/external customer inquiries timely
10) Support and/or participate in other initiatives and special projects when requested

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
1) 5+ years of experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods Collection Strategies/Large Portfolio Collections
2) 5+ years’ experience working with account managers, supply chain, AP managers to keep balance current
3) 5+ years AR workflow/processing in SAP (prefer SAP4hana)
4) 5+ years driving service level or operating levels metrics per a SOW including consulting and 3rd party process management
5) 5+ years proven experience in establishing processes, metric identification, reporting, addressing root causes and accountability to drive results
6) 5+ years of experience working with senior executive clients and internal executives
7) Data analysis, problem solving, account management, contracts, database, self-start, Microsoft office, excel, pivot tables, outlook, access, and SQL

The compensation range for this position is based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
