Your Role and Responsibilities

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Serve as primary technical expert to internal groups, business and Information Services, for the First Republic Bank architecture aspects of each project.
• Analyze Business requirements to understand the business needs and to determine how the system can best be architected to fulfill those needs.
• Identify and develop architectures and designs for enterprise and foundational services.
• Perform hands-on solution design of software applications.
• Create and maintain reference architectures, target architectures and roadmap to meet the business needs to provide extraordinary customer server.
• Provide technical mentorship to engineering staff regarding industry best practices as it relates to software engineering.
• Identify technology focus initiatives that maximizes our data assets for business benefits through digital transformation
• Creates and chairs a solutions working group to review solution approach, gains acceptance of solution, & informs stakeholders of Solution Architecture review outcomes
• Excel at communicating that structure, its characteristics and behavior, to stakeholders
• Serve as primary technical expert to internal groups

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
We’re looking for breadth and the ability to solve problems, including technical ones, but also problems with process, culture, people, and teams. Some examples of skills that are very useful:

• 
  Architect skills: In concert with our Solution Architects, Enterprise Architects serve as the bridge between product owners and developers: leading the practice and introducing the technical vision for our solutions, so knowledge in depth of architecture concerns, such as functionality, performance, resilience, reuse, comprehensibility, scalability, security, constraints and tradeoffs, is central.
• Prior experiences with setting up technology end-to-end test environments (e.g. dev, QA, UAT, etc.) that progressively and closely mimic those of production environment, and involving enterprise-portfolio of frontend, backend, and peripheral applications.
• Knowledge of cutting edge tools needed to coordinate and automate repeatable application deployments, along with test data management, preparation, and cleansing, and management of scheduled and queues for each E2E test environment.
• 
  Understanding of the intricacies required to prepare these E2E environments for frequent and recurring testing and retesting by multiple applications and teams in succession
• Former QA Architect role is a plus
• 
  Domain Skills: Experience in digital architecture in the financial or banking sector would be helpful and preferred. Familiarity with the business architecture framework and having applied it to the banking domain would also be very helpful.
• 
  Cultural/Business skills: Pivotal to this role is building the relationships and partnerships across teams to gain trust, and working through influence, to ensure that problems get solved even when they’re not directly under our control.
