Job Description
Total Chemical Management Engineers are responsible for directly working on facilities bulk and specialized chemical and gaseous systems. In this position, you will be part of our Ireland Leixlip Facilities Engineering team and will oversee, sustain and improve our high purity chemical/gas delivery systems and processes. This involves Air Separation Units (ASU’s), Nitrogen Plants and other bulk gas supply equipment such as purifiers and vaporisers. The successful candidate will identify opportunities to improve existing system efficiency and reliability, and is expected to understand and keep track of your system maintenance.
The job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
– Role modelling a commitment to safety, quality and operational excellence at a competitive cost. Understand system reliability and availability and manage any scheduled or unscheduled down-time and the associated risk.
– Be the primary owner for various Gas supply equipment.
– System owner for sustaining and continuous improvement of existing systems. Accountable for safety, system operations, maintenance procedures, reliability and cost.
– Strong problem solving ability. Be able to apply critical thinking when examining systems with safety and reliability in mind.
– Ability to handle multiple tasks.
– Ability to work with minimum direction, self-motivator with own initiative.
– Must be able to work in a team environment and demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
– Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present and explain data to both technical and non-technical forums.
– Supports projects, factory task forces, cross-site teams, cross-discipline teams, Module Teams, Facility Process Transfer, incident resolution, etc. when their systems are involved.
– Ability to manage projects from concept to delivery in a fast paced environment.
Minimum Qualifications
�You must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree Hon in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical, Science, Mechatronic, Electro Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline FETAC Level 8 equivalent or higher.
� Good presentation skills and ability to communicate strategic and tactical concepts across a wide range of employees; engineering peers to operational technicians to management.
�
Preferred Qualifications
� Experience on high purity Gas or Chemical manufacturing, delivery systems or major mechanical plant would be an advantage.
� Ability to work on diverse tasks under a highly dynamic environment
� Technical expertise in chemical and gases process control
� Excellent computer skills and strong data analysis capability
� Statistical process analysis
� Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and ability to apply them.
� Experience of interpreting P and IDs
