Job Description
This highly influential and cross-functional role oversees the post-silicon debug of Intel’s FPGAs. Closely partnering across all engineering disciplines, the Post-Silicon Debug lead is the primary point of contact for issues found during manufacturing test and silicon validation, driving for root cause identification of issues and bringing subject matter experts together across pre-silicon disciplines from Architecture, Design, Verification, Layout/Physical Design, Firmware, Software and SoftIP to resolve these issues. As part of the resolution process, this individual also drives both corrective and preventive responses, addressing the issue and taking actions to improve the Tools/Flows/Methodologies to ensure there is not a repeat. Additionally, this individual partners with Manufacturing, Validation, and Quality/Reliability Engineering leads to capture post-silicon learnings for application to production silicon as part of high-volume manufacturing.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 10+ years of experience – OR – Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years of experience.
- Experience in pre-silicon logic design and verification and post-silicon validation.
- Experience in digital design, analog design and custom transistor level design.
- Experience in chip architecture and silicon/software/SoftIP co-design.
Preferred Qualifications
- Domain expertise in FPGA architecture/design and verification, from transistor level design to software modeling, as well as schematic/RTL to Layout/Physical Design.
- Solid understanding of silicon/software/firmware/SoftIP co-design and system-level interaction.
- 8+ years of experience in Pre-Si functional/performance/power verification.
- Experience in logic design, architecture, verification.
- Experience role modeling and mentoring junior engineers.

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
