Job Description
We are looking for motivated, passionate, and talented Embedded Software Development Engineers to join our SoC FPGA Linux driver development and technology pathfinding team. We’re a strong, vibrant cross-site team which helps drive Intel’s SoC FPGA software solution (https://rocketboards.org/).
In this role, you will dive deep into Linux drivers and the kernel itself, interacting with ARM cores and an FPGA via a bootloader. This an opportunity to deliver the next generation of Intel embedded solutions.
Your specific responsibilities could include:
– Technical lead for bootloaders such as U-Boot and Arm-trusted-firmware.
– Bootstrapping key customers with reference designs which include Linux and bootloaders.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or equivalent with 6+ years of technical development, debug, and leadership experience with the Linux kernel and drivers
– Reputable experience and familiarity with the Open Source Community
– Software development skills such as C Programming, Device Driver development, Linux Kernel development.
– Experience with Open Source development in Ethernet, PCIe drivers is a plus
– Experience with low-level kernel OS subsystems and security design is a plus

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
