Power Architect will be responsible for Intel FPGA power architecture and will provide technical leadership to the rest of the team in these domains. The role covers specification negotiation and specification generation. Power Architect will be the responsible for the following:
� Working with Platform and SoC architects (Hardware, Software and Firmware) to define power management details for FPGA to deliver optimum performance and area trade-off under power and thermal constraints,
� Define power goals, identify power scenarios, and working with teams to track IP power
� Identify power optimization techniques applicable at different design levels
� Work with customers to address their current needs as well as strategic engagement discussions for future roadmap
� Produce detailed documents for the proposed implementation, drive trade-off analysis for engineering reviews and product roadmap decisions.
The candidate will be responsible for defining scalable power architecture across different range of Intel FPGA devices to meet competitive Power, Performance, Area and Cost.
The successful candidate’s minimum qualifications will include the following:
� BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
� Deep understanding of Hardware Design, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in design and architecture
� Good understanding of ASIC/FPGA design with a minimum of 7+ years of experience in power management design and architecture
� Experience with power modeling, power distribution networks.
� Experience with power optimization techniques (multi-Vt/power/voltage domain design, clock gating, power gating, Dynamic Voltage Frequency Scaling).
� Knowledge with platform level power management and power delivery is a plus.
