Global Construction Engineering (GCE) is responsible for the design and engineering of all of Intel’s major manufacturing and cleanroom projects in Oregon, Arizona, Israel, and Ireland. We are a team of specialized in-house architects and engineers in a highly collaborative environment. We work together with our factory, operations, and supply chain partners to deliver some of the most technically complex projects in the world with challenging schedule and cost constraints.

This position is with our Tool Install Central Engineering team that focuses on the construction designs required to install the semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Our Project Engineers are highly respected and are relied upon to provide technical leadership in their area of expertise.In this role, you’ll have the opportunity join a family of multi-disciplinary engineers with a strong team culture centered around its people. As a Sr. Project Engineer, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Provide engineering solutions and breakthroughs to enable and deliver tool install construction projects to meet cost, schedule, duration and productivity target goals set by the corporation.
Leverage subject matter experts throughout Intel in the areas of Construction Management, Supply Chain, Scheduling, Quantity Surveying, Off-Site Manufacturing, Finance, and Digital Transformation to deliver innovative engineering solutions.
Influence change across key internal stakeholders with compelling data.
Subject matter expert responsible for providing technical guidance to the Fab Construction Enterprise.
Accountable for building and driving safety culture of caring in every business environment, office to the construction sites, and from front-end planning to construction execution.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Master’s degree in Engineering – Electrical, Electronics or Process Engineering (Level 8 qualification or above) and 4+ years of direct professional experience in the following fields: European Union (EU) Directives and application of same. Conformite Europeenne (CE) marking and associated statute and application of same
Design of large-scale, complex, technical facilities and equipment installation in high-tech industries
Chartered/Professional Engineer.
Preferred qualification:
Fluency in German language is highly desired.
Experience with Irish Building Code, BCAR and HSA rules and associated statute and application of sam
Familiar with ATEX and EPD requirements.
Chartered Machinery Safety Expert.
Design and construction of electrical systems. Focus on industrial, semiconductor, and cleanroom projects are preferred
Experience with electrical systems such as medium voltage, low voltage, emergency power systems, critical (UPS) power systems, lighting systems, and heat trace systems.
Member of Instructed of Engineers of Ireland and Discipline Specific Body
Specific training and experience in PHA, HAZOP, SIL Assessments and associated processes.
Familiarity with power modelling databases such as EasyPower or SLM is preferred.
Behavioral:
Ability to translate highly complex technical code, directives, CE marking information to its simplest form for management or non-technical staff
