Job Description
AXG’s Super Compute Platforms team’s vision is to democratize supercomputing for all, and be the first on the market with Zettascale offerings across super compute systems, as well as GPU accelerator cards.
The SCP Modeling and Measurement team is seeking a Senior Power and Performance Architect who can help drive performance analysis, modeling and optimizations for the super compute platforms.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following areas:

Using performance modeling tools, applications and workload analysis, performance bottlenecks, critical path analysis, software coding standards, and platforms for both HPC and AI workflows

Hands on development at the OS and kernel level, applying a deep knowledge of Linux OS scheduler, priority based task management, memory management

Analyzing and tuning workloads at the multi-kernel level in the areas of HPC and AI workloads

Focus on adapting an operating system, under development, to meet the specific demands of these emerging workloads on supercomputers and drive the design, optimizations and delivery to customer commits

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience:
A Master’s degree in Computer Science or a directly related field with 4+ years of industry experience in parallel computing, specializing in operating systems and systems software for exascale parallel systems, along with one, or more of the following areas of knowledge:

Linux development environment, including use of git and kernel / low level testing and debugging

SOC design, CPU, GPU, Fabrics, I/O interfaces and interconnects

Software development practice requirements, design development, validation and platform performance optimizations
Preferred Skills:
-
A PhD with 2+ years of industry experience, as outlined above

Multi-kernel operating systems

Parallel programming experience with MPI and OpenMP
-
GPU knowledge and programming
-
External international research collaborators and client vendors interaction

Algorithm analysis, parallel programming models

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
