As an SoC Design Engineer in PSG Programmable Technology Engineering (PTE) group, you will:
- Work as a highly proficient and motivated technical individual contributor to develop and evaluate methodologies and benchmarks for IO and SerDes IPs suitable to define process requirements to meet product spec., to assess the impact of process change on IP performance and power, and to assist IP debug during silicon ramping up.
- Lead and participate in pathfinding projects involving cross-functional and cross-BU teams on process technology co-development, high speed IO and SerDes design and Technology co-optimization, and product assembly/packaging definition to optimize PSG product power/perf/cost.
- Drive delivery of Best-In-Class PPA and validated 3rd party IO and SerDes IPs and validation through test chips to improve product A0 quality, execution schedule, and market requirements.
- Develop and lead test chips definition and design to validate SerDes and IO IPs to uncover functional and yield issues for A0 quality.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications
The candidate’s minimum qualifications will include the following:
- MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 7+ years of industry experience in IO and SerDes design and productization.
- Experience with CMOS device physics and BEOL spice models for advanced processes (10nm, 7nm, 5nm, and beyond). Experience with foundry process and design collateral is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with analog circuit design and verification, hands-on experience with industry EDA tools including Hspcie, Spectre, Finesim StarRC, and familiar with layout tools such as Cadence Virtuoso.

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
