Intel technologies Looking for Sr. Event Portfolio Strategist and Competitive Analyst at Fully Remote – United States Full Time

Job Description

The Global Marketing Events Center of Excellence, ECOE, is looking for a seasoned Event Portfolio Strategist and Competitive Analyst as part of the ECOE Strategic Program Office, SPO, team. The individual will define multi-tier event portfolio strategies aligned with Categories Business Units; Sales and Marketing Group, SMG, regional marketing plans, and global partner event roadmaps. The individual will collect, curate, and deliver competitive intelligence across industry, proprietary and partner events. The events are highly visible, global in scale and scope, and are set to be physical, digital, or hybrid. The individual will operate within a matrixed internal and external environment contributing to Roadmap strategy, event strategy, competitive strategy, partner strategy and KPI definition.

Responsibilities may include but not be limited to: 

Event Specific responsibilities:

• Gather market intelligence towards an Intel multi-year event roadmap to define successful event strategies aligned with Intel Corp. Strategy, SMG, BUs, and regional OKRs
• Share collected information across ECOE and Brand, Customer, and Sales Experience, BCSE, teams identifying gaps while ensuring timely and accurate reporting of intelligence
• Aggregate and research partner and customer event choices, market trends, and competitor’s event strategies, interview Subject Matter Experts, SMEs, and compile recommendations from findings relevant for Intel global event strategy
• Monitor and provide timely analysis of competitive movements in the market to enable key members of our organization to make sound business decisions
• Ongoing tracking and analysis of key partners and competitors, and emerging competitive threats and trends
• Managing 3rd party event data vendors supporting our efforts with their research
• Work across internal network with BU and SMG competitive analysts to funnel all necessary competitive intelligence into event objectives, strategy, and tactics
• Ensure intelligence-gathering activities meet legal requirements, our company policies, and professional ethics.
• Create cadence of reports and dashboard to inform Intel’s annual event roadmap

General responsibilities:

• Keep a pulse on event trends and innovation in the industry, while working closely within the ECOE on implications of those trends.
• Help push the boundaries and thinking of our stakeholders, to heighten Intel’s presence as an innovative leader. Partner with SMG key stakeholders, i.e., Insights and Activations, Sales Excellence, Brand, and Centers of Excellence, and align on possibility thinking with our partner organizations to ensure our tools and capabilities support our long-term event strategy, while still staying compliant.

The successful candidate should demonstrate the following skills and behavioral traits:

• Interpersonal skills to manage senior stakeholders by creating a strong network and be perceived as a trusted advisor
• Strength and confidence to lead and direct large in-tact and virtual teams to meet key deliverables across multiple functional areas during the event planning process. In addition, possess the ability to identify areas of the program that are not meeting their deliverables and creating an action plan to recover in those areas that are jeopardizing the event.
• Written and verbal communications skills coupled with highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to lead the team through challenges and differing opinions across the team.
• Clearly and simply present with confidence and professionalism to Intel’s Sr. management team program status throughout the planning cycle
• Knowledge and understanding of Intel’s business model and strategies with ability to prioritize deliverables and making competitive research-based recommendations around those strategies
• Flexible and open to changing priorities and managing multiple tasks simultaneously within compressed timeframes.
• Experience working with and managing external agencies including briefing, identifying resource needs, financial tracking/reconciliation, and day to day oversight of the timeliness and quality of their deliverables
• Proven track record and strong interest in data analysis to track, compare event marketing efforts for continued plan improvements and enhancements
• Passion for events

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This Position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited four-year college or university or related experience
• 8+ years’ experience in tech industry analytics, market research, marketing program management.

Preferred qualifications:

• 10+ years’ experience in tech industry analytics, market research, marketing program management.
• Master’s degree from accredited college or university or related experience.
• Previous event marketing exposure.
• Competitive intelligence experience.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado, New York, Washington, California: $118,860.00-$196,720.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
