Description
Good Understanding of virtualization technology OracleVM and Linux administration including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
Using ITIL best practices that can be incorporated into the operational running of the IT system to include Change/incident/problem/capacity planning.
NFS file sharing and the Linux automounter.
Perform installation and configuration of operating systems, applications, and storage provisioning.
Process improvements and makes recommendations for continuous quality improvements.
Deliver Changes to the UNIX platform by leveraging the change control process communicating and seeking approvals from business owners.
Working closely with internal development, database, and implementation teams to deliver a new solution.
Managing the 24*7 Production support.
Troubleshooting problems related to Apache, Mail, DNS, FTP, MySQL, etc.
Giving technical support and configuring according to the requirement of the Development Team.
Creation and execution of Shell (Bash) Script to make the work automate and to interact with databases.
Solving login Problems, handling troubleshooting, installation, and many more.
This person will be responsible for managing and maintaining the Hypervisor Oracle VM & server footprint based on Linux operating systems. This person will be responsible for handling end-to-end administrative activities for the Linux environments, providing SME support for troubleshooting priority issues, planning & coordinating maintenance activities, performance, availability & capacity management of the environments as per SLAs. SME (Subject Matter Expert) roles with 24x7x365 Support model with US Shift hours and will need to jump on SEV1/SEV2 issues on call 24×7.
CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Oracle VM – however, if experience exceeds the minimum years of experience, we can accept without certification and make it optional.
