Kadlec has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nursing Assistant (NAR) to join our growing Acute Care team!

Shift Details: Per Diem, Variable Shift. Shifts may include weekends.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum Requirements:
• Current license in the State of Washington as Nursing Assistant Registered – or obtain NA-R within 90 days of date of hire into role.
• Must obtain Nursing Assistant Certification within 6 months of date of hire into role.
• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Successful completion of a pre-licensure nursing assistant program.
• Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: As a Nursing Assistant Registered you will perform assigned tasks and activities according to skill level and patient needs as assessed by the RN. Working with a preceptor and assuming increased responsibility during the residency, the Nursing Assistant Registered supports nursing personnel in providing nursing care to patients and assists with providing a safe, quiet, clean, organized environment using care delivery. Key functions and specific skills for this job are found in the unit specific onboarding checklist and in the Standards of Practice and competencies for nursing assistants.
• Contributes to the assessment of the patient by collecting information for analysis by an RN:
• Completes delegated patient care activities and records and reports variations
• Documents legibly according to policy.
• Recognizes and reports signs/symptoms of abuse and neglect for all ages of patients served.

• Provides nutritional requirements and recognizes barriers that limit intake appropriate to ages of patients served.
• Awareness of developmental tasks appropriate to ages of patients served.
• Reports abnormal findings to licensed staff (including vital signs and O2 sats).
• Utilizes a collaborative interdisciplinary process to provide support to all members of the Patient Care Team to reinforce basic patient/family education.
• Ensures effective use of Facilities – promptly reports facility maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.
• Ensures effective use of supplies/equipment – minimizes supply wastages. Charges appropriately for supplies used.
• Adheres to safety precautions including hazardous wastes and proper sharps disposal.
• Reports and documents any unusual occurrence that may have an effect on the patient’s and/or staff’s well-being.
• Documents all clinical information supporting assigned tasks accurately, legible and in a timely manner.
• Practices and observes for safe, clean technique throughout procedures.
• Expected to perform most job duties independently and in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
• HUMAN RESOURCES:
• Employee completes all tasks and duties accurately and timely within assigned shift. Demonstrates initiative to perform job duties autonomously.
• Attends mandatory and other education offerings per department and hospital requirements. May assist with education on the unit.
• JOB SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:
• Accepts objective suggestions for improved performance.
• Attends unit staff meetings (50%).
