Product Communications Associate Manager, Messenger Responsibilities:
Plan and execute communications strategies and campaigns that help educate global tech, business and consumer press on Messenger products, including choice and control features
Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, marketing and the broader Meta PR teams to build, understand and communicate Messenger products and policies clearly and effectively
Develop communications plans, pitches, and messaging materials
Build relationships with tech press, bloggers, analysts, influencers and other external stakeholders about core products and initiatives
Manage in-bound press inquiries and support issues management communications
Maintain Messenger Kids social media presence (Facebook, Twitter) and oversee community moderation
Support team operations including weekly reporting, coverage reporting, newsroom management and creative asset creation
Work closely with external agencies to lead proactive and reactive programs
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of communications experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, English or related field
Effective communications, decision-making and project management skills
Experience working with diverse cross-functional teams, including engineering, product and marketing, in fast-paced and ambiguous environments
Proven relationships with press and external stakeholders and experience organizing press briefings, media roundtables and events
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working on trust and/or safety programming for technology companies, apps, or related industries
Product and consumer communications experience
