Associate General Counsel, Product (Business Messaging) Responsibilities:
Review and advise on global product marketing and sales programs and initiatives to provide legal risk mitigation strategies across multiple jurisdictions
Lead and coordinate legal advice across complex and multifaceted legal issues such as data use and privacy, sales and marketing, competition, and other global legal frameworks
Collaborate with and drive influence across legal and business team subject matter experts, and guide escalations to appropriate stakeholders in order to take strategic and informed risks to meet client needs
Coordinate with policy, communications, product management, engineering, sales and other cross-functional teams on business strategy
Minimum Qualifications:
J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar
8+ years of legal experience as a practicing attorney, including at a law firm or in-house
Experience with one of the following or related legal area: product or regulatory counseling, privacy, data protection, competition or marketing & sales
Preferred Qualifications:
Legal judgment and strategic thinking, along with experience working both independently and cross-functionally
Experience building and scaling legal processes and operations
Experience working on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, delivering practical advice under pressure and operating within ambiguity
Experience taking on projects involving different subject matters and areas of law, developing expertise quickly, and working cross-functionally
