At Meta VR Hardware, we’re developing the future of virtual reality (VR) products. As a Display Module Engineer, you will be taking a lead in display module process, equipment and materials developments. Leading the development of advanced technologies and designs, and working with the evolving ecosystems to provide differentiating capabilities to our HW platforms. You will be part of a tight-knit group of highly talented engineers at the forefront of the innovation for VR products.

Display Module Process Engineer Responsibilities:
Lead module process, equipment and materials integration – development of complex manufacturing practices including materials, process optimization, equipment, metrology and system design

Design for Manufacturability – Ensure not only the design is robust but also the equipment, process and materials are scalable to ramp

Utilize CAD (NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) tools to review equipment concepts, designs, module drawings, design fixtures and jigs

Perform FMEA for new equipment and process technologies and provide risk assessments

Define and implement rigorous equipment/process validation plan, CTQs, FAT/SAT, and standards

Organize and drive cross-functional reviews of equipment/process requirements and ultimately drive design optimization

Lead yield improvement activities and drive FACA, must be able to drive the responsible teams to address the issues

Documentation – prepare Request for Information/Proposal/Quotations that highlights the equipment/process requirements and specifications

Willingness to travel no less than 20%

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Materials, or Optics Engineering with 7+ years experience or Masters with 5+ years of experience

3+ years of experience in the development of module equipment’s/process/materials integration in the Flat Panel Display, Touch industries or optical module related industries

Experience performing and designing DOEs, data analysis, SPC control, root cause investigation, failure analysis, implement corrective action

Experience building prototype fixtures and jigs to evaluate equipment/process/materials concepts

Experience communicating and delivering clear messages to cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in working directly with mainstream display or touch module manufacturers

In-depth knowledge of AMLCD and AMOLED and back-end production process

Excellent project management, effective communication and people skills

Strong track-record of delivering high volume products to the market

Strong communication skills
