Manufacturing Operations Program Manager Responsibilities:
Responsible for turning the individual requests, projects, ramps, and changes across multiple manufacturing partner sites into a program aligning the many Facebook team asks to one ongoing site roadmap of process and tool changes.
Identify operational pain points and opportunities to improve business practices and drive internal process improvements across multiple teams and functions.
Drive continual improvement of systems and data workflows, dependency mapping, overall process and phase exit criteria and validation.
Conduct business process re-engineering reviews to innovate on business processes and define ways to improve their efficiency and effectiveness.
Manage cross-functional programs covering a range of technical domains (supplier engineering, Quality engineering, Test Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering) from concept through to completion.
Drive solutions to complex problems: develop clear problem statements, project requirements, milestone schedules, and documentation to support decision-making and facilitate implementation.
Interface with TPMs, Engineering Design teams, Operations Engineering teams, Data Center teams, Capacity Engineering and other business owners (such as Finance, Accounting, Tax, Trade) to define projects and assess impacts across the organization and the lifecycle of the Rack/Computer/Network Hardware.
Understand/interpret technical requirements for HW Design & Manufacturing, facilitate inputs from engineers across multiple technical engineering departments to create coordinated Manufacturing Change roadmap & drive implementation with ODMs/JDMs/CMs.
Manage dependencies and handoffs effectively and optimize schedules accordingly.
Travel to manufacturing sites as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in Technical, Engineering or Manufacturing Program/Project Management.
Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, component engineering, industrial engineering, or equivalent job experience.
Experience leading Scrum and Agile project management methodologies on Manufacturing systems & tools, such as MES, SFC, System Test Framework, QMS, or Data Analytic tools.
Experience identifying problem statements and structuring into a program with clear and measurable goals and milestones.
Experience developing and maintaining a comprehensive project plan, scope and budget. Experience executing against strategy and managing through obstacles and ambiguity.
Stakeholder Influence and Strategy: Experience establishing partnerships with stakeholders to define and drive roadmaps and direction.
Knowledge of Hardware Product lifecycle – Proof of Concept, Design Validation, Engineering Validation, Process/Product Validation, Pilots and Mass Production execution to end-of-life.
Bachelor’s degree in a directly related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge in interfacing systems to manufacturing tools and process.
Knowledge in manufacturing process and traceability processes.
Knowledge of design for manufacturing, testing and scalability of compute, storage, network and AI/ML systems.
Understanding of Hardware Engineering goals and Hardware lifecycle responsibilities across multiple disciplines.
Excellent communication skills and demonstrated attention to detail.
Interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration within diverse, cross-functional teams.
Global project implementation experience.
Experience adapting and learning new skill sets quickly.
Large scale manufacturing, New Product Introduction, and/or other Hardware engineering related product implementation experience.
