Principal NTI Design Engineer Responsibilities:
In collaboration with product design and test partners, you will design and validate early prototypes on the design path of next-generation AR hardware devices
Map out architecture, resources, systematic requirements, and cross-technology dependencies
Work closely with Product management, System Engineering, and Product Design teams to map out NTI roadmaps, inclusive of internal and external research and development requirements and detailed project schedules
Identification of critical partnerships, industry expertise and invention
Leads NTI architecture reviews, including performance benchmarking and demonstrators
Designing NTI systems to prove out potential product paths at system and subsystem level and solving problems that your designs uncover (defects, FA etc.)
Scoping and leading technical development of workstreams for capabilities needed for current and future NTI investigations and design
Define and execute Engineering Qualification Vehicles and Platforms (EQVs) goals – Prioritization of investigation areas for NTI work in the AR Glasses space. Leading and managing integration NTI DOEs to determine design/process sensitivities
Leads and informs on problem solving, root cause analysis, and other continuous improvement initiatives
Communication across all levels of an organization – from management and higher-level strategy planning to the technicians and leads
