Strategic Counselor Responsibilities:
Support the DGC Litigation in proactively managing key priorities and initiatives across the Group, including through liaison with colleagues, organizing meetings and follow-up on key issues, and helping to leverage leadership time and attention on critical matters
Manage the collection, review and transmission of information to Meta’s Board Directors, Management, Finance, Disclosure Counsel and Internal and External Auditors regarding litigation, antitrust and internal regulatory issues, priorities, risks and loss contingencies
Coordinate responses to periodic certifications and requests, including quarterly SOX and privacy program certifications and representation letters
Oversee the preparation of periodic reports to the Chief Legal Officer and other DGCs including overseeing the preparation of the monthly reports and week-ahead postings
Assist the DGC Litigation in assessing and tracking resource needs, hiring, budgets and internal and external expenditures
Facilitate coordination with Communications, Policy, Human Resources, Finance, Business Partners and other parts of Legal
Manage the Group’s internal policies, procedures, and training programs
Monitor and report on progress with respect to international regulatory issues and projects
Minimum Qualifications:
JD degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one U.S. state bar
8+ years of attorney experience, including in-house or law firm experience
Experience leading cross-functional projects with multiple internal stakeholders
Project management and decision-making experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with complex litigation and regulatory matters, disclosure, and financial reporting issues
Experience shifting priorities while maintaining organization and control
Experience handling confidential information and using discretion
