This is an IC opportunity within the Workforce Strategy – Model Optimization team. Ideal candidates will be responsible for building scalable analytical models to inform workforce related strategies. This position will work with Data Engineering, Finance, HR, and Product to design and develop relevant models to deliver on solutions. They will be accountable to build production ready models while working closely with data infrastructure teams to account for scale. Well-developed communication skills (ability to gauge audience and to distill complicated analytical concepts down to the right level for various audiences), healthy tolerance for ambiguity and constructive attitude (ability to deliver on fuzzy objectives, and to tolerate mid-stream changes in project objectives or process) and very pragmatic individual (able to appropriately apply varying levels of precision to different projects based on the nature of the project and surrounding circumstances).

Workforce Optimization Modeller Responsibilities:
Develop and implement scalable analytical models to solve complex business problems related to location strategy, workforce budgeting, and resource management

Model workforce scenarios with various constraints (headcount limitations, talent availability, facility capacity) to produce optimized plans for workforce growth

Understand business problems, propose appropriate solutions, and communicate insights and strategies to key stakeholders

Execute independently on building and deploying statistical and optimization models

Partner with infra teams on data requirements for the model

Own high quality models to support problems from an end-to-end perspective

Minimum Qualifications:
1+ years of experience with SQL

6+ years experience in a statistical and/or data science role

3+ years experience developing optimization problems and models based on business problems

Experience with optimization methods, statistical analysis, and mathematical modeling based on real world situations with empirical data (e.g. Markov, Monte Carlo, GLM)

Experience with advanced analytical techniques (i.e. forecasting, multivariate statistics)

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as applied mathematics, computer science, operations research, industrial engineering, or related field

4+ years of coding experience in at least one programming language
