The Global Partner Solutions (GPSUS), Go-To-Market (GTM) organization, is looking for a Business Program Communications Manager to join our team. The objective of this role is to develop and execute the Managed Partner communication strategy for GPSUS, the communications strategy for the office of the GPSUS GTM VP, and various internal communications.

Business Program Communications Manager
This unique, strategic role is responsible for developing and executing the strategic communications strategy with our top Managed Partners. Our Managed Partner community encompasses our most strategic partners, where we invest more deeply to scale alongside our field to accelerate customer business outcomes. Our objective in GPSUS is to grow partner transacted and influenced revenue faster than Microsoft and gain share in the cloud. In GTM, we develop the strategy and marketing approach for building, nurturing, and engaging the partner ecosystem to drive technology acceleration and customer outcomes.
This role will also create and lead the GTM VP’s communication strategy, including a speaking platform, keynotes, and external social media presence. The key focus areas of this role will be to write a compelling and consistent narrative around how GPSUS GTM is enabling partners to digitally market transformation for customers.
The ideal candidate is a high-impact communications leader with excellent written and verbal communication skills, previous experience leading strategic communications, executive communications, excellent collaboration skills, creative imagination, great attention to detail, and proven ability to deliver outstanding results in an ambiguous, high-pressure environment.
Responsibilities
Managed Partner communications strategy (60%)
Developing and delivering the strategic communications strategy for our Managed Partner audience via external and internal sockets alongside our Partner Marketing Advisors (PMA) and Partner Development Managers (PDM).
Defining goals and metrics for successfully executing the Managed Partner strategic communications strategy to grow revenue and share with partners through industry and solution area focus.
Coordinate all communications alongside the Scale Partner team
Key outcomes include: activating managed partners against key GPSUS scorecard metrics and a deep understanding of the programs and investments that enable success.
Develop and manage the full-year communications calendar, including internal and external communications events/activities.
Align goals to our MSUS scorecard metrics for successfully executing the Managed Partner strategic communications strategy.
GTM VP Executive Communications strategy (30%)
Develop and deliver the communications strategy for the VP of GTM, including creating an all-up communications approach and story arc, allowing clarity and consistency of message, and developing the VP’s external image via social sockets.
Develop executive presentations and speeches from inception to the finished product which includes creative elements such as working with vendors to create videos and interactive content that reinforces key messages, news, and brand image. Great storytelling is a must.
Build an external social media strategy for the VP to extend the thought leadership platform and amplify our voice to partners, customers, and employees.
Internal GTM communications (10%)
Support work to maintain our strong company culture in GPSUS GTM, including communications to deepen employees’ understanding of the company’s mission, values, priorities, and ways of working and collaborating across Microsoft US communications, corporate executive and strategic communications, and other groups as appropriate to ensure alignment with company and executive communications leadership across Microsoft.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Operations, Finance or related field AND 6+ years work experience in corporate marketing, field marketing, program management, process management, process improvement
3+ years of corporate marketing communications experience including any of the following: executive communications, field marketing, sales marketing, channel marketing, go-to-market communications, technology industry marketing, Microsoft partner community communications, keynote script communications, social communications, or related fields.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications:
Project management – Ability to juggle multiple projects and activities simultaneously and manage several stakeholders across the organization. Ability to remain focused on delivery under pressure and tight deadlines.
Execution excellence – Passion for execution—focusing on critical details, anticipating risks, and managing stakeholder expectations.
Listening and collaboration – Ability to gather requirements, respond quickly, and build deliverables based on input and feedback from VP, leadership, and all stakeholders.
Strong communication skills – Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation-level skills. Ability to synthesize complex ideas into a streamlined narrative and communicate well with visual elements, including videos and PowerPoint.
Discretion – Given the executive nature of this role, discretion with confidential information is a must, as is accountability and reliability with deadlines.
Self-starter who takes ownership of opportunities, works independently, manages multiple simultaneous projects, and deals well with ambiguity and unexpected changes.

Location: Anywhere in the United States with the ability to work flexible hours to support the team in Redmond, WA, when needed.
The salary for this role in the state of Colorado is between $119,200 to $178,800.
At Microsoft, certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
