As a member of the leadership team, you will serve as a trusted advisor for the CVP and will have an important voice at the leadership table, while also being a resource to help support the broader strategic and operational needs of the team. You will build strong relationships across Microsoft and will be the bridge between the CVP and the rest of the company. This role calls for a balance of leadership and influence skills across the senior leaders within the team and beyond.

Responsibilities
Operations: Build and drive a best-in-class executive office, supporting the CVP’s success and extending impact as a leader across Microsoft, Enterprise Functions and within the team. Lead a cross functional team of high performing business operations professionals. Ensure the CVP’s time is maximized and impactful with strategic stakeholders.
Trusted Advisor: Serve as a trusted advisor for the CVP and handle special projects and ad hoc incoming requests as they arise. Influence and impact groups inside and outside of immediate team with the ability to rapidly gain/build trust and confidence of internal and external stakeholders.
Organizational Health: Empower the team’s success by creating clarity around priorities and enabling efficiencies. Foster a culture where people feel great about working within the team and Enterprise Functions and where we support inclusion, generate energy, and build community by helping drive D&I priorities, Learning & Development plans, Manager Training, Early-in-Career programs, Onboarding and Hybrid Workplace. Ensure we have have:
Clear and transparent priorities
Predictable, published rhythms and cadences to help the org deliver against its priorities (including managing Employee Engagement, LT meetings, Extended LT meetings, Business Reviews, etc.)
Robust internal communications and tools
No compliance violations
Effective budget management in partnership with Finance
Strong relationships within and outside of Enterprise Functions including with HR, Legal, and Finance partners
Communications: In collaboration with the Communications Manager, provide executive-level communication strategy relevant to a variety of audiences and ensure the CVPs voice is strong, clear, and predictable at events both internally and externally. Provide high quality preparation for both internal and external engagements. Build presentations and use strong storytelling skills for internal communications for the organization.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or Finance AND 8+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
OR 12+ years equivalent experience.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or Finance AND 10+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
OR Master’s Degree AND 7+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
OR 14+ years equivalent experience.
Demonstrated ability to influence executive leadership on complex business topics
Ability to create effective relationships, influence and collaborate internally and externally at all organizational levels
Enjoys working in fast-paced, ambiguous environment
Excellent judgment, discretion and unflappable under pressure.
Excellence and experience in managing OPEX, COGS, and all aspects of budget planning
Demonstrated capability in verbal and written communication skills for a geographically dispersed audience
Location/Travel: You may be based anywhere in the United States, with a strong preference for the Pacific Northwest. You can expect limited global travel, 0 – 25%, contingent upon Covid-19 restrictions.

The salary for this role in the state of Colorado is between $144,600 and $216,600.
At Microsoft, certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
