Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
Discovering and inventing the next generation computer architecture for the cloud at all levels of innovation to create a datacenter that is truly optimized (performance, power and cost) for Azure’s cloud critical workloads.
Understanding the operation of complex datacenter workloads
Building internal tools, scripts, analysis methods, etc. as needed to carry out robust and automated analysis.
Utilizing external and internal tools to characterize, profile and analyze key cloud workloads.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
BS degree or higher preferably with a concentration in Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience in lieu of an advanced degree
Prior experience in architecture, micro-architecture, workload analysis, and performance modelling
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Skills:
Ph.D/M.S. in Computer Engineering
Expertise in architecture, micro-architecture, workload analysis, and performance modelling
