The Finance and Operations apps team is looking for an experienced writer to drive planning and creation of compelling content experiences to help developers and ISVs to extend the functionality and integrate it more tightly with Power Platform.
Responsibilities
As a Developer Writer on our team:
You will be responsible for the content strategy, writing, delivery, and maintenance of content for developers and ISVs, including conceptual and reference content, code samples, illustrations, and videos.
You will work closely with PMs and developers to develop a deep understanding of your assigned areas and customer needs, the extensibility requirements and implementation details for a feature, and create documentation for each release milestone.
Take corrective measures to continuously improve content based on internal/external feedback and metrics.
Be able to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously, respond quickly to new/changing priorities, and thrive in an environment where you’re busy, collaborate closely with others, and deliver content that is both highly visible impactful.
Qualifications
Required:
2+ years of experience in .NET and Visual Studio.
5+ experience in creating technical documentation or training for developers and ISVs of an enterprise cloud-based product.
Excellent English-language writing skills and prior experience of interacting with software developers, program/product managers, and other technical writers to plan and deliver clear, easy-to-understand technical documentation.
Experience creating and managing content using GitHub and Markdown.
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technical Communication, MIS, or equivalent industry experience.
The ideal candidate will also have many of the following characteristics:
Prior experience of creating documentation for products/services related to Dynamics 365 or Power Platform.
Creative approach to problem solving, finding your way through ambiguity, inspiring others to innovate and try new things, and a passion for creating great content experiences.
Knowledge of trends in the user assistance, training, or content publishing industry.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
