The Team:
Our team provides the data and insights needed to run and grow the business through media campaigns. This work includes:
Providing holistic media performance and business insights.
Providing data and insights for product marketing, go-to-market, and media teams.
Delivering data sets and 1:manyexploration tools that democratize business and customer insights for the product engineering, marketing, and our field teams. This includes common data models and architecture, and data governance.
Providing actionable intelligence and analytics that will make our products and services better and grow our business. This includes media forecasting and predictive modeling.
The Role:
This Data Analyst II position is a key role that serves as a subject matter expert on capturing and understanding the digital media experiences of our audience to support the organization in implementing successful and efficient paid media campaigns. The scope includes understanding how Paid Media, Marketing and Product teams can target the right audiences and how their tactics can be tracked to accurately evaluate performance and allocate investments to the most appropriate ones. Also includes stakeholder engagement and close collaboration with and leveraging efforts of data scientists, project managers, and data engineers of the IDEAs Team.

Responsibilities
Partner with specific functions / domains of the M365 and/or C+AI businesses (e.g. Web, Demand Generation, Paid Media, etc.) and develop a deep understanding of those areas
Understand the KPIs product and marketing are driving and to provide guidance / implement technology solutions that enable the business to optimize based on those KPIs
Work with the media teams to understand and advise on partners that are used / should be used for digital marketing
Work with Engineering and Marketing partners to develop integrations to Microsoft marketing technology ensuring a common data collection process
Collaborate with marketing ops / technology teams to integrate new partners for lead generation to existing data infrastructure
Work with Finance partners to build funnels and KPIs that effectively measure paid media campaign performance
Provide guidance and drive strategy on technology investments ensuring the end goal for collecting detailed data to produce actionable insights is achieved
Implement governance for web tracking, develop relevant documentation and promote automation
Partner with analytics, data science, and data engineering partners for data structures, data availability, and model development
Work closely with data engineering to deliver requirements for data infrastructure
Ensure data accuracy via UAT
Qualifications
Required Qualifications / skills:
2+ years’ Industry experience working with digital media analytics
2+ years’ Industry experience working with large data manipulation using SQL, R, Python, OR other data languages
Prefered Qualifications/ Skills:
Working knowledge of web telemetry, audience management, or other marketing technology tools
Media agency, ad operations, and/or ad tech experiences are a plus
Prior experience in B2B marketing acquisition, campaigns, marketing automation, content marketing, and digital marketing a plus
Exceptional problem solving, technical and data analysis skills
Good written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Be self-driven, and show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete or dirty data
Ability to work in a team environment that promotes collaboration

For the state of Colorado, the salary range for this role is from $112,300-$168,500. At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
