Responsibilities
Within the Business Process & Analytics (BP&A) team, the Regional Operations Centers’ Business Intelligence (ROC BI) team is based in Dublin, Reno, Redmond, and Singapore. The goal of the ROC BI team is to foster a data-driven culture and to encourage and enable the entire organization to make more informed decisions through data. Through BI/Analytic skillsets, proactive engagement, and subject matter expertise, you will be expected to develop and deliver on the global BI strategy, transforming how Microsoft Business Operations uses data. Success in this role will require strong strategic thinking, fluency in analytical frameworks & quantitative modelling, attention to detail, effective communications and presentation skills, and a collaborative mindset.
Foundational skills include experience in structuring complex ambiguous problems, conducting analysis, and presenting comprehensive marketing impact stories.
The role requires deep collaboration across key stakeholders in regional and corporate structures, various functional areas such as supply chain, finance, operations, business intelligence, sales, marketing, and engineering teams.
Responsibilities
Lead as a senior BI resource to provide business analytics and insights leadership and strategic direction for the business process area through SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework® for Lean Enterprises) methodologies.
Drive strategic thinking, structure ambiguous problems, identify the right frameworks and technologies to address problems across the entire BI stack, including data warehouse, cloud migration, standard reports, analysis, dashboards, machine learning / AI, and scorecards.
Drive execution of key experiments, pilots, and strategic projects with functionally and geographically diverse partner teams.
Lead data analysis to discover key findings that inform decisions. Perform and deliver in depth analysis on business performance (trends, funnels) and drivers that deliver a better internal understanding of the customer or partner experience. Use sound analysis to apply statistical models that allow forecasting of return on investment (ROI), profitability, share, and/or profit margin.
Democratize the use of data through reporting automation, and advanced layouts and visualizations. Be the change agent to enable a global team to make data-driven decisions.
Proactively engage other BI teams, with the goal of leveraging other’s great work, and sharing work with others. Provide guidance to engineering for various assessments and help business with reporting requirements for new projects/programs.
Work collaboratively with internal teams to find patterns in data and turn into actionable business impact that drives growth and efficiency.
Communicate overall results of business analyses to multiple levels of leadership across all mediums (written, oral, presentations).

The ideal candidate will have :
Demonstrated experience in working effectively in cross-functional international teams (often virtual) comprised of full-time employees and vendors.
They should also possess strong leadership & organizational skills and positively influence others.
Additionally, can think creatively, be analytical, objective, and independent, and speak in both business and technical terms.
They will play a critical role in managing a group of individuals responsible for managing across all device partners to ensure appropriate preparedness for new capabilities and revenue opportunities, while minimizing/eliminating operational friction for existing revenue streams.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in Operations, Business, Engineering, Economics, Analytics, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience is required.
5+ years’ experience in Operations, Sales, Business Intelligence, Program Management, AI/ML Product Management, Technical Product Management.
3+ years of Data Analytics experience
Must have strong technical experience with Query, SQL, Python, R, Eloquence, Data Warehousing in a professional setting
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a quantitative field or MBA/masters in Analytics, Data Science, Ops, Finance or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical data analysis or science experience.
Deep experience in data science or business analytics, big data, machine learning.
Strong relationships & stakeholder management.
Excellent communication skills and leadership with the ability to build solid relationships with individuals at all levels, in multiple geographies and business functions.
Demonstrated excellence in thought leadership, innovations, and execution management; ability to influence without authority.
Certified SAFe® Product Owner / Product Manager / Agilist / Program Consultant.
Self-starter with a strong passion for using data to influence business decisions and strategy investments.
Strong experience and capacity for leading change, dealing with ambiguity, and building creative solutions.
Successful record of dealing with complex organizations through influence and collaboration.
Demonstrated strategic thinking resulting in forward-looking solutions to business opportunities.
Exceptional ability to effectively negotiate and collaborate across teams, leadership, and organizations.
