This position is for a Delivery Management Manager (DMM) in DES, working towards enabling and accelerating Consulting Methodology and Maturity in Consulting Delivery through identified Strategic programs, leading a team of project/program managers and architects.

The Delivery Management Manager (DMM) in DES, a people manager role, leads a high-performance team of seasoned project managers well versed in delivery management practices, and trends.
The DMM is accountable for building, landing and sustaining strategic programs that enable and accelerate Consulting Methodology and Maturity across Microsoft Services leading to increased Customer/Employee Satisfaction & improved Delivery Performance.
This role is at the forefront to help realize and achieve the ISD core business priority of DELIVER WITH EXCELLENCE – Provide world-class Delivery Management to optimize customer outcomes and cloud services consumption.
This role will have exposure across a large services portfolio, with an opportunity to impact multiple delivery domains and a multitude of customer engagements annually through key org-wide strategies, as well opportunity to influence Senior Leaders in the delivery organization.

Creates a problem-solving climate that resolves delivery issues across lifecycle of deal (e.g., lead to order, order to cash, resourcing, pricing, invoicing, proof of execution) through cross-cultural collaboration and partnerships (e.g., Delivery / Selling partners) to ensure sustained delivery quality.
Applies governance controls to mitigate and manage risks and ensure policy compliance in delivery and sales; holds team accountable for execution and adherence to Microsoft processes (e.g., Enterprise Consulting Authorization Policy). Documents and executes plans to mitigate identified risks for challenged deliveries.
Drives action plans and continuous improvement plans to increase maturity of organization and delivery quality using feedback from others (e.g., delivery teams, customers, systems, Enterprise Operating Unit, internal stakeholders, partners) and industry standards.
Evaluates industry trends, performs research and provides guidance on best practices.
Prioritizes and drives customer value, is customer obsessed and constantly looks for opportunities to improve and influence best practices around Delivery Management
Focuses on driving for results and persevere despite difficulties or setbacks
Setup Services
Enable consistent engagement setup across all domains to improve Microsoft Delivery Approach adoption and Consumption tracking.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years of relevant work experience
OR equivalent experience.
3+ years people management experience.
Prior experience leading and delivering organizational maturity initiatives for building consistency, predictability and quality of customer project delivery leading to positive business outcomes and improved customer satisfaction
Prior experience leading and driving global/org-wide consulting delivery maturity initiatives
Prior experience in managing large complex programs spanning multiple stakeholder groups (employees, customers and partners) across Local / Regional / Global Areas
Good understanding of Cloud Modernization/Migration Engagements/Programs
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years of relevant work experience
OR equivalent experience.
6+ years of account management experience.
2+ years experience in sales/selling.
2+ years of project/portfolio management experience.
10+ years of experience in Program/Project Management or comparable experience
8+ years of experience in Consulting Delivery Portfolio Management or comparable experience
Collaborative delivery leader with strong program management experience, understanding of the consulting services delivery and project management disciplines, and the ability to successfully influence in a highly matrixed environment.
Experience in effective global communication skills, impact and influence across a diverse set of stakeholders
Ability to drive, impact and influence stakeholders across varying roles ranging from Delivery Domain/Practice leaders, CTOs, Delivery Management and Sales/Pursuit roles
Prior experience in driving successful achievement of industry certifications like CMMI and ISO
Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Customer/Partner Relationships, Product & Technology
Demonstrated capability in developing and retaining professional talent
Demonstrated ability to lead delivery teams in a highly matrixed organization
Exposure to Contract Management and Delivery Management Systems

The salary range for this role based in Colorado is from $144,600 to 216,600. At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
