The Devices Supply Chain organization at Microsoft is seeking a Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Analyst. This Analyst partners with the Supply Strategy and S&OP teams to synthesize complex, dynamic data and bring clarity to our discussions with key business stakeholders and cross functional teams.
Key activities for this role include:
Tracking of POR timing and commitments
Identifying and communicating weekly and monthly gaps vs. commitments, including root cause and implications
Evaluating opportunities and synergies for Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Rhythm of Business (ROB)
Partner with key stakeholders to identify opportunities and risk to the product lines, run business metrics support follow up on S&OP commitments and actions
The role has a significant impact in driving business growth & profitability by providing world class operational support.
Responsibilities
Build, develop, and maintain working relationships with a cross functional virtual team, facilitating proactive business management, communication, issue resolution as well as driving key decisions.
Partner with key stakeholders to identify business risk and opportunity. Support the team in driving actions and business plans to close.
Build consistent reporting structure and cadence to support the business ROB
Build ad hoc supply and/or demand analysis to support decision making
Develop and maintain reports/analysis to provide timely information to key stakeholders
Provide support for monthly Exec S&OP meetings
Partner with key stakeholders to identify process improvements, system enhancements, and overall resource requirements to support new products/businesses
Qualifications
3+ years of manufacturing and/or supply chain operations experience
Exceptional ability to impact and influence business decisions and results where cross-boundary collaboration is required
Demonstrated experience driving global programs while understanding the multicultural implications of global business and processes
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Solid analytical and problem resolution skills in an ambiguous environment
Demonstrated ability to think strategically
Extremely detail- and process-oriented
Strong facilitation and consensus building skills.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, operations management, or engineering
