Microsoft is searching for a talented sales leader to shape the direction of the software partnership with one of our largest strategic ISVs, Nuance. Success will be measured based on your impact to sales pipeline, Azure revenues generated from joint solutions’ sales, offers you bring to market and the effectiveness of driving high ROI on all partnership investments. This is a high impact role that will influence strategic direction, provide executive visibility, and allow you to demonstrate execution excellence.
Responsibilities
In this role you will engage at leadership levels to define, build, and execute an integrated partner sales strategy across the Americas time zone to take advantage of a significant new market opportunity for Microsoft. Specifically, you will engage with Microsoft’s area leadership, sales, marketing teams, regional PDMs and Nuance global leadership and sellers to drive customer acquisition and consumption plans. You will maintain close oversight of the joint sales pipeline, support sales teams in closing strategic deals, and ensure sales alignment between both companies. You will be the subject matter expert for Microsoft and Nuance’s joint sales engagement in the Americas and will provide guidance and support to local sales leadership and PDMs. You will also work closely with industry solution product and sales teams on defining GTM strategy with Nuance.
A strong knowledge of sales, distribution channels, marketing, partnership management, and cloud services is required. Effective communication skills are critical and the ability to present complex ideas and concepts to a wide range and size of audiences, from sales and marketing managers to CEO level, is a must.

Travel is estimated as requiring 10-25% of time, as most of the work can be done from home or through a local Microsoft office.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Operations, Computer Science or a related field AND 8+ years partner management, sales, business development, or partner channel development in the technology industry or related experience
OR equivalent experience.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Business Science, or an advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) or a related field AND 10+ years partner management, sales, developer, business development, or partner channel development in the technology industry or related experience
OR equivalent experience.
Inclusive and collaborative – driving teamwork and cross-team alignment.
Strong discipline in business management, achieving sales targets and operational excellence
Deep understanding of digital transformation business drivers, cloud platforms, capabilities and solutions that generate partner growth and innovation.
5-10+ years of experience in core sales experience, partner channel development, sales, business development, alliance management in the technology industry.
Exceptional ability to articulate both business and technical value of Microsoft Cloud Services to senior business and technical decision makers
Track record of creating repeatable and scalable sales motions
Demonstrated experience and success engaging with senior executives
Ability to work in an abstract, cross-organizational boundary and cross-discipline manner
Strong experience of managing virtual teams across functions and geographies. BS/BA degree
MBA or equivalent experience is a plus
Deep understanding of Nuance technologies is also a plus

The salary for this role in the state of Colorado is between $136,200 and $198,000.
At Microsoft, certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
