In joining the Digital Sales team as the Enterprise Support Sales Excellence Manager, you will play a critical business role in supporting the Support Sales leadership on strategic, operational, and coaching perspectives to achieve business results for Microsoft Customer Solutions. As a Sales Excellence Manager, you will establish & drive the daily rhythm of the business, coach sales managers on the fundamentals of sales execution, and lead the planning and growth initiatives for the segment. Business Partnership and Support – You will partner with the Global Support Sales Lead to drive a consistent Rhythm of the Business (RoB) aligned to growth opportunities and exceed business objectives and key results. You will lead in providing insights into the business and simplify where possible without compromising outcomes.
Sales Coaching for Growth and Transformation – You will build relationships with Sales leadership and critical stakeholders to execute on key priorities; identify areas of business opportunity and potential risks, influence sales leaders to be effective coaches to their teams on opportunity management fundamentals and leveraging the potential that Microsoft offers our customers. You will coach teams on initiatives to transform seller capabilities, habits, sales process and engagement processes. You will use data available to you to identify trends and insights that drive action.
Driving Sales Processes Discipline – You will ensure Sales leadership are running disciplined pipeline health, quality, quantity, and velocity processes and collaborate on best practices, insights, and available programs to minimize pipeline variances. You will coach to hold sales managers accountable for account plan quality and completeness. You will identify opportunities for process optimization to drive greater seller productivity.
Strategic Guidance and Planning – You will guide solutions leads on the current and forward-looking business plans; collaborate to define how the segment will achieve its goals; oversee planning subcomponents (e.g., programs, blueprints, segmentation, market trends, past and current business insights) integrate into the planning across all the support segment(s)/regions(s).
8+ years’ experience in sales, sales operations/management, account management, program management, business development, marketing, consulting, or a related field OR equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience using data to drive business outcomes or inform business decisions.
3+ years of experience managing relationships with stakeholders, clients, and/or customers.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
3+ years managing projects, including planning, managing timelines, and tracking progress, and/or change management experience.
8+ years’ experience with active participation in sales, sales operations/management, account management, program management, business development, marketing, consulting, or a related field OR equivalent experience.
Data Experience5+ years of experience using data to drive business outcomes or inform business decisions.
Stakeholder Management Experience5+ years of experience managing relationships with stakeholders, clients, and/or customers.
Project / Change Management Experience5+ years managing projects, including planning, managing timelines, and tracking progress, and/or change management experience.
The salary for this role in the state of Colorado is between $152,200 and $197,800. At Microsoft, certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
