Growth Engineering has a new opportunity for Group Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team and positively impact how people experience Microsoft’s technology. You’ll be responsible for building Content + Learning experiences through constant innovation, design, and implementing state-of-the-art systems. In this role, you’ll help teams meet complex engineering challenges in client software and backend services. Your team will partner closely with design and program management to optimize for user success.

Responsibilities
As a Group Engineering Manager of the team, you will be responsible for the following:
Driving the strategy, vision, and execution for the team in collaboration with the engineering, design, and program management leaders
Partner with others – internally and externally – to deliver consistent experiences and customer success across Growth Engineering endpoints from Microsoft
Coach team leaders and engineers within the team
Actively shape and drive a flexible, diverse, and inclusive culture where everyone is enabled to be at their best
Be an active member of the Leadership Team
Qualifications
Required
5+ years of Engineering Management
10+ years of experience building software and managing highly complex services and teams
2+ years experience managing other people managers
Preferred
Is passionate about building great software to be used by everyone
Great design and problem solving skills, with a strong bias for quality and engineering excellence at scale
Cares deeply about team culture and creating a friendly and helpful engineering team within the larger organization
Skilled in attracting and retaining great talent
Model and foster the Microsoft Values and is an active participant in our diversity and inclusion efforts
Is excited about collaborating with partner teams to deliver customer scenarios
Ability to deal with ambiguity
Brings a positive attitude and looks to drive constant improvement in how we work
