Responsibilities

Identity Platform falls under Microsoft Entra and we are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to help our team tackle some of our most complex problems in the Build area, is charged to increase availability of mission-critical services, building better software to serve over 1B humans globally. Are you passionate about software performance, resource utilization and system design?

As an Engineer within the Identity Platform team, you will drive projects within Inner Loop for Identity, e.g., our Local Development, Merge Validation, Official Build and other technologies. Our services process thousands of builds a day, empowering developers to deliver the best software in the world.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
7+ years of software engineering

2+ years of experience within Build systems such as MSBuild, Nant, Maven, and/or Nmake

Highly Valued Skills:
Hands on engineering experience, working with build systems.

Deep practical experience with build environments, containers, and orchestrators.

Understanding compilation processes, graph-based build engines, Version Control System principles and build workflows.

Proven ability to drive effort across multiple teams/orgs.

Excellent communications skills, comfortable presenting to large audiences and customers.

Prior experience with performance analysis and optimization of software.

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
