The DPX Engineering team is responsible for architecting, designing, and building the next generation of connected systems and tools using microservices architecture to help manage and support critical business functions such as Cost, Schedule, Networking, Land/Lease, Energy, Construction, Commissioning, Procurement, Safety, Planning etc. in a real time manner. The team has a charter to deliver against the NorthStar goal of building robust automation for these functions through well engineered systems and at the same time design and build the next gen, ML based, recommendation engine to enable cost and schedule modeling, supply planning, execution planning etc. while integrating with the bigger CO+I ecosystem.

Responsibilities
Our Systems Engineering team delivers innovative solutions to address the automation needs to scale our delivery capabilities. We are looking for Principal Software Engineering Manager who is passionate about solving large business challenges at scale with technology. You will be responsible for end-to-end deliverables with a high degree of visibility. CO+I is a young organization within Microsoft, and as such, you will be responsible for envisioning and designing NEW features from the ground up! We work at a fast pace, in an Agile environment. You must like to deliver value incrementally in a continuous learning environment. Being a foundational layer of Microsoft means that your individual work will have a broad impact across the entire company.
As a leader, you will be interacting constantly across organizational boundaries and providing thought leadership with your partner teams. We are looking for a passionate, high-energy leader who can deal with ambiguity and challenge the status-quo to define the future state TLRP, lead engineering teams to design, deliver and operate the automation capabilities that power the Network sourcing, execution and procurement efforts, drive workflow improvements, and build solutions to assist in the delivery of large-scale data centers through efficient management of cost and schedule. Qualifications
Required Qualification:
12+ years of leading software development experience shipping production apps or services using the enterprise-level technologies (.NET/Java/etc.) and Cloud technologies (Azure, etc.).
At least 8+ years of experience leading teams with direct management responsibilities
Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or extensive proven expertise in the software development field.
Software development experience in any two of the following areas: Web and API development, UI technologies (React/Angular, node.js, etc.), Microsoft Azure/any other cloud platform, Dynamics 365/Power Platform, SAP.
Preferred Qualifications:
MS or PhD in Computer Science is a plus
Proven track record of engineering design, engineering excellence as well as operational excellence abilities.
Data-driven mind-set. Ability to mine data and persuade your team using effective analysis
Experience in leading agile and incremental delivery teams.
Passionate about Coaching, Mentoring and Caring for the team.

Strong written and verbal communication at all levels (technical, with peers, with leadership, and with execs)
