We are seeking a dynamic, motivated individual to be part of an amazing team of developers to deliver optimized hardware systems that drive compelling VM offerings targeting the Microsoft Azure platform. The ideal candidate will have a passion for new technology, virtualization, and optimization. You will learn about the challenges that affect operations at a global scale and help design the next generation Microsoft Azure offerings. You will also learn what it takes to support new business models, applications, and operating models as we bring new customers and partners onto the Microsoft Azure system.
8+ years of professional experience professionally developing software and services
Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related field
Experience benchmarking and tuning virtual machines to deliver industry leading performance
Deep knowledge of virtualization software
Deep knowledge of cloud server platforms
Experience with Microsoft Azure a plus
Experience with Python a plus
Experience operating a service at scale a plus
Strong problem solving skills
Experience optimizing virtualization stacks to deliver industry leading performance
Experience managing development teams
Deep knowledge of cloud platforms and services
Experience working across teams to drive complex projects
Excellent communication, collaboration, and negotiating skills
Proven track record of developing partnerships across companies
Demonstrated track-record of self-directed execution
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
